EDIT: As *tellywebtoons brought up, I threw in some wood chips when the beaver chomps away at the tree in the beginning. It's not much, but at least the scene doesn't look as "empty" as it did before.

----------

Since you folks really seem to love the crossover Pony animations I make, here's one more I made not just for you wonderful people but also to help me practice animating in general.

Don't be fooled: a lot of things in animation that may seem simple to make can actually be very complex. If you saw the livestream I had for this animation on October 28th, you would see what I'm talking about.

Personally, I thought looney Pinkie Pie was a good fill for Roger Rabbit and his craziness. I wish I did something more about her voice here though, but I'm just not as good messing with audio as I am with animating. :XD:

You know what? I think I almost agree with you there.

It doesn't have the best story to it, but the animation still looks really nice to me even after watching it again today. It probably has something to do with sacrificing keeping the characters on model for making it look more lively; almost everything was redrawn every time it appeared, and Pinkie has a lot of bounce and movement in everything she does.

I know I mentioned it before somewhere, but I don't know if I've been really doing enough to get myself back to making this level of animation again. Just look at my latest animation in my gallery: most of the characters don't even have more than two frames of movement to them, and it's usually a smear helping them move. It kinda works, and yet it doesn't feel very fulfilling to me, like I have forgotten what I originally wanted to keep doing with the animation you see here.

Maybe I should do another test like this sometime this summer, and put my all into it like I did for this one. You know, something to remind myself that I should be putting a lot more time and love into my work. I need a few more new things to put in my demo reel, anyways...

Speech was beautiful lol.
Don't focus on length though.
Even if you make a new animation, quality is better then quantity.
Like this for example, short, funny, and really good animation.
Just keep it up like that.

Lol, thanks. :XD:

Yeah, length isn't really the problem I have with my recent work, just that I feel the quality of my animation and art itself has been slipping away from what I originally wanted to do. I think there's more I can do to fix that, but maybe all I really need to do is make more fleshed-out stuff like this again and take a few steps back.

I ended up being inspired yesterday and started preparing the audio for a small "sequel" to this animation, so maybe I'll be able to start there. :)
